The Greatest article of clothing: yoga pants

It’s been raining on and off for the last week. It’s making me thankful that I live in CA instead of thinking that this could be snow and I would have to go out and shovel my car. UGH! Like everyone else in America, I don’t want to leave the house when the weather is crappy. I rather climb under my duvet blanket, drink tea or hot cocoa and watch really crappy tv. However, working from home, you can only do that oh so much before you have to get out and work. Still, one of the great things about plugging away from my laptop at home is being able to look like a hot mess when no one sees me.

Thanks to the cold and icky weather, I’ve done a combo: yoga pants, my long shirt from the 2011 Kaiser Half Marathon and my Bay to Breakers T-shirt that I had lying around. Yes, it’s a sexy outfit that really drives my husband wild. 😀 Seriously, if you could see me now you would be nominating me for an episode of “What Not to Wear” (actually, don’t let this blog post stop you, if you want to go for it. I could totally use a new wardrobe).

Oh, yoga pants. How I love thee. You have been my greatest comfort in the crappiest of weather. I’m so dependent on you when I don’t want to get dressed but I know have to. Does anyone else agree with me?

I live in these bad boys. So much so that I have a couple of pairs to rotate. It’s so wrong, but it feels so right. I’m really lucky that I live next to a small little grocery store, Walgreens and a Starbucks so all my basic needs are met. If I need to run to the mall or meeting friends then I’ll be smart and actually put on real clothes. But there is nothing better then coming home putting on those pants and curling up with some tea and a good book.

That’s the best thing about winter, I love feeing cozy. Hope you’re all cozy at home and enjoying your favorite sweater, sweat pants and comfy slippers.
